10 Things You Can Do Better While Social Distancing

Updated: Dec 17, 2020

  1. Improve the brevity and simplicity of your electronic communication.

  2. Connect with 5 new people and 7 existing colleagues or friends each day.

  3. Inspect your business process cycle from start to finish for improvement.

  4. Rethink your approach to helping others succeed.

  5. Increase the number of times you connect others to build new relationships.

  6. Resolve 3 pieces of unfinished business, no matter how painful.

  7. Live closer to your goals and your main points of focus, and less by reaction.

  8. Take time to thank the people who make your life possible.

  9. Rest and unplug!

Your list may be quite different and it must be one that makes sense for you. Who wouldn’t want to be better at understanding the value of designing a process, an internal plan that is uniquely yours? How effective will you be when the questions you ask, the calls you make and the level of engagement you choose are consistently in alignment with your list.

  1. What are your most fundamental guiding principles?

  2. Too big? Begin with 3 or even 1 and add as you choose

  3. Notice the shift in your focus – what’s different?

  4. Notice the response of others to you – what’s different?

As we step away from everyday norms, there will also be a return at some future point to a changed work environment. Does your work sustain you? How do you fit into a shifting future? Is it time to upgrade your skills or is it time to consider an exit strategy and a new direction entirely? If not now, then when?

However comfortable you assumed you were with choice and change, it may morph into overwhelming anxiety that was never anticipated. This makes it the ideal time to engage the support of a career coach with experience in helping professionals achieve better, faster, results. At KICKSTART Your Transition we offer a broad range of services to fit your needs
